Boomerang Man

Rich “The Boomerang Man” Harrison came to me seeking a full-fledged e-commerce website capable of processing incoming orders from around the world. Having been in the business of selling boomerangs since 1975 through mail-order catalogs, he was completely new to the world of website sales.

I built his site, featuring pictures from inside his workshop, and I produced informative walk-thru documentation allowing him to learn how to add and maintain his products and inventory within WooCommerce. Now he manages the site himself via his editor-level user account and implements a wide range of WooCommerce functionality including coupon codes, product attributes, inventory, and even abandoned cart action hooks.

MidCity Storage

MidCity Storage is a premium storage facility in midtown Monroe, Louisiana. They wanted a site to showcase the features of their facility as well as allow visitors to see availability, reserve units, and manage their accounts online.

I initially developed a custom plugin for these functional integrations, communicating with the storage management system’s API directly. That custom plugin has since been replaced by embedded scripts and links out to the storage management system’s payment portal to eliminate plugin maintenance concerns and utilize their managed code and enhance security.

Tower Place

Tower Place is a prominent office building in midtown Monroe, Louisiana. Built by Holyfield Construction and managed by Holyfield Real Estate Development, this unique venue contains a variety of business offices as well as shared “Think Tank” workspaces, a large atrium, and a rooftop terrace, all available to reserve by the hour or by the event.

The site was built as part of a comprehensive overhaul of multiple Holyfield-owned websites with the purpose of aligning the look and feel of their web presence across properties and brands. You will notice similarities with other Holyfield-related sites such as Premier Plaza, which varies only slightly in color scheme and content.

The Tower Place website also incorporates the CheckFront reservation system via their WordPress plugin, allowing visitors to reserve spaces and see availability directly within the site.

Premier Plaza

Premier Plaza is an iconic building in midtown Monroe, Louisiana. Built by Holyfield Construction and managed by Holyfield Real Estate Development, this imposing structure houses offices of several notable area businesses.

Holyfield Construction

When renowned firm Holyfield Construction asked me to build them a fresh new site, I jumped at the opportunity. Through a collaboration with the owners and key staff, we arrived at a bold design showcasing their iconic projects from commercial and healthcare to residential and storage.

The site is built around fullscreen, impactful images, and the homepage features a project category slider with a custom navigation overlay. I also elected the use of a mobile-centric, full-screen site menu.
